History

The annual international conference is a testament to Africa's innovative spirit. Unbound by geographical constraints, it has the flexibility to be hosted in any part of the world. The inaugural event was meticulously organized by GAINDE 2000 in Dakar and took place from November 5th to 7th, 2008, backed by the Government of Senegal and Senegalese Customs.

Subsequent editions, hosted in Accra, Ghana, and Antananarivo, Madagascar, served as exceptional platforms for the exchange of ideas, shared experiences, and the illumination of the latest advancements in electronic services. All of these efforts were aimed at simplifying and digitizing the procedures of international trade, fostering economic and business competitiveness, and encouraging all participants to commit to a comprehensive, participatory, and inclusive approach.

Reflecting on the 2019 edition held in Yaounde, Cameroon, its impact was substantial. Under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Cameroon, the International Conference on Single Windows and Exhibition centered around a distinct theme: "Unlocking the Potential of E-commerce and Optimizing the International Supply Chain of Landlocked Countries."

Moving to the recent past, the 8th edition of the conference left a lasting impression in the historically and culturally rich city of Marrakech, Morocco, in September 2022. The international conference continues to evolve, shedding light on the path forward in the international trade sector and fortifying connections between countries and continents.

Gazing into the future, anticipation is building for the 9th edition of the conference. Scheduled for September 2023, Djibouti, in the Republic of Djibouti, is poised to host another dynamic assembly of minds and ideas. We are confident that this forthcoming event will serve as another critical milestone in our global mission to enhance and elevate international trade and logistics practices. The continuation of these collective efforts plays a pivotal role in promoting greater understanding, cooperation, and advancement within the international trade, transport, and logistics community.
