Alejandro Espinosa-Wang

Alejandro Espinosa-Wang is a senior private sector development specialist who joined the World Bank in 2006. He is currently based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with the Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation (FCI) global practice. His work focuses on policy actions aimed at improving firm productivity, both within the firm (e.g. managerial capabilities) and outside the firm (e.g. business environment and trade facilitation). He has also worked in Mexico City and Panama City. Prior to joining FCI, Espinosa-Wang worked in the Global Indicators Group of the Development Economics Vice Presidency in Washington DC. He holds a degree in government and international relations from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, a certificate in economic policy from American University, and a master’s degree in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University
